Chapter 3. VMS Server

 

Live Mode

1. Connect

a. Click the button to connect to IP cameras or video servers.

b. If you select the "Connect on startup" option in the configuration, the VMS will automatically connect to all IP devices at startup.

2. Channel List

a. On the left side of the dialog, you can find the channel list.

b. Click the channel list buttons to choose whether to order by channel number () or by groups ().

c. Click the button to search channel titles using a keyword.

3. Layout

a. Click the up and down-arrow buttons to move channels up and down.

b. Click the layout button to change the layout.

4. Auto Switch: Click the Auto Switch button to start automatic layout switching.

5. Click any video channel to switch to single-channel display mode.

6. Zoom in/out

a. In single-channel display mode, select a part of the video by dragging the mouse to zoom in on that area. You can also zoom in or out using the mouse wheel.

b. In zoom-in mode, click the video to return it to its normal size.

c. Move the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.

7. Event List

a. When an event occurs, the event list will appear on the right side. You can show or hide the list with the button in the upper right corner of the dialog.

b. To stop the alarm sound, click the alarm button. The alarm will not sound while there are remaining seconds. Each click on the button increases the waiting duration by 30 seconds.

c. Click the filtering button on the Event List to select the minimum duration (sec), time range (hour), and channels of events to display.

8. If the PTZ handler is assigned, in single-channel display mode you can click the button in the upper right corner of the video to open the PTZ control.

9. Click the button in the upper right corner of the dialog to change the display ratio of the video.

10. Click the button in the channel list to show the video information.
