Chapter 2. Configuration: Notification

Set up Information for Notification

1. In the Sender List, click the button to add a new sender item and choose either email or test message. Click the added item and enter the required information provided by the service provider. Click the information button in the top right corner to open the reference website.

2. In the Recipient List, click the button to add a new notification recipient. Click the added item and enter the recipient’s information. Click the "Send test message" button to verify the entered information.

3. In the Group List, click the button to add a new group. Select a group and assign notification recipients by clicking the checkbox.

a. "Motion Detection Events" is a predefined group for legacy motion detection events. You can set the "Interval seconds between notifications" and "Minimum seconds to send notifications".

4. In the Message Templates List, click the button at the bottom to add a new message template. Click a template to edit its subject and content.

5. The "Redirect HTTP Server" is used for redirecting SMS text messages. Enter a URL and port that can be accessed externally.

a. "VMS Unique ID" is used to identify a VMS server in the client app's server list (iOS/Android/Windows).
